Suculento sonido gracias atrayente para mis oyidos y mis timpanos jajaja
Great song! Sad Darroll isn`t well known. He is one of my all time favorite musicians ever! Thanks for posting
A great find thank you again DTZ ☮
Thanks! I found this 45 at a thrift store on Saturday.
Thank you! These soul cuts by Smokey and his cuz Jay Mitchell are sorely needed on utoob. Nice quality!!!!
This my dad
Let talk zach
Awesome! I met him in Monticello last year and he loaned me this 45 to record and transfer to UA-cam. I also made some CD copies for him… how is he doing?
I used to get a lot of heat from people that did not know better because SRV was good but he was not much of a song writer.(if you know you know)
Nice banjo playing fella, Ronnie Laines slim chance song, I like this too, putting your stamp on it .. nice one
What an awesome song. His singing is amazing 🤩
Happy 82nd birthday JG 8/1/24
I like this version better than the one on the first CSN album. The baseline is incredible.
Thanks Yelawolf
wow
This song takes us right to Jesus Christ crucifixion. So powerful.
Wow - stunning cover!
Pretty sure he got this from "Walk Over God's Heaven" by Mahalia Jackson.
Albert King did a version also, not just SRV.
Wow this is beautiful!! Thanks for this gem! Reminds me a little of Robert Johnson.
Thank you DTZ for finding these old tunes and posting the record's disc photo 👍
You’re welcome Artemis!
THERE IS...A ROCK&ROLL HEAVEN❤
Smoking!
With Dino Valente in jail for 1 joint, it certainly delayed this great record. I saw QuickSilver a lot, sometimes opening for the Jefferson Airplane.
Fucking brilliant deep funk hardcore from Gloucester England,,,,,,big Love ❤️ to all those involved 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Super duper Cold Sweat style bare bones beat killer here , wow weeee! My cup of tea and damn rare
Thanks… I found this copy in Monticello, Georgia (where it was recorded in 1970).
@@zem1272 Well found, super rare , only just heard this track! Thanks from UK
Love it but there is a better version by him I've heard but I don't know the details of it sadly.
One of my favorite cuts.
Saw Tom Petty when he toured with Dylan many moons ago. Unforgettable! ❤
My Christo Redentor lp is 56 years old. Got it at 18. Forgot about it until 10 minutes sgo.
I've got a whole crate of old country and bluegrass albums. Johnny Cash, Gene Autry, Tex Ritter, John Hartford etc...
nice. my 45 is so pulverised, nice to hear it clean :) great song.
Such a great song and album
I’ve been struggling recently to post an interesting “deep track”… your mention of this song on your recent “1970” video inspired me to share this lesser-known B-side. Thanks Mazzy!
Easily an American Treasure. I sure miss Tom Petty.
Nice find! Man, that backing band is chooglin' in double-time!
Nice!
One of his best albums and songs. I knew Dylan loved it. I was surprised. But he was right.
You gotta check out Melvin Taylor’s take on this classic. Taylor (one of greatest but sadly undiscovered) greatest guitarists, displays his awesome talent on this one. Then there’s Stevie Ray Vaughn’s 😢great cover as well.
Rock and roll from heaven
Hell, that voice is grabbing my heart.
🙏🙏🙏
Down there on the shiny foyer floor, a banker goes a'prowling for a whore, he dreads the ice upon the street ... But I'm out on the Interstate (thank you, Jesus). I can hear her soft voice calling Calling me to bring our children home. (thank you, God).
Nice version! Fast driving bluegrass music!
When a band is so good this is the song they had to leave off the album
Yep, but they didn't "have" to. They did it while she was away for the day because it was "too long". But it was really Lindsey. So glad it made it's rightful comeback 20 years later though. Because this song is an absolute masterpiece.
Agreed, the passion and emotion is just the best
Tony Rice does a Solo Acoustic version that is worth listening to.
They were so good! One of my favorite Atlanta bands!❤
That first verse threw me until I realized he's singing about being on the Interstate in his mind, while the laughing children are not dodging traffic on it ... Songs, hey? Where would we be without sensitive, contemplative tune-smiths who made millions off all of us and have had an amazing world-wide life of excess? Happy Puppet Day, music fan. You're a major idiot.
Stay a little longer!!!!!! Just perfectly real Sometimes losing does make you free. But it's relative.......eh? Dumb luck worcks to. Ha ...thank you all.
My Beautiful Friend Mr H turned me on to Bob and Guitar 🎸 I've never looked back .. Thanks Bob and H! Dublin dude
Bert's most beautiful song - and it's still my favourite of all time ! (My second favourite is "Riders on the storm" by the Doors)
Just like the Seneca, I have lost my place. And where I've been planted, now, soon will be shaken. And just like the Seneca, it's a losing race. Too soon, tomorrow will come. And nighttime's awakening brings forth a melody I've heard before. Oh, my God, must it be so hard just to breathe, and love, and learn to be a man?! I'm doing all that I can. Too soon tomorrow, nighttime delay its pace. Too soon, tomorrow becomes yesterday.
JLH is a titan of an artist, astounding to sit for a few minutes with this early work, had to check it on repeat, yes! I have heard varied renditions of this song, but, spoiler alert (?) i think this is the first time i've noticed or heard him saying 'Tupelo is gone.' at the end, so deadpan. Grateful.
yes, lord. !!!!!!!!!
